District 4 awards.
The following individuals were recognized for their outstanding achivements within our district. We appreciate their contribution and effort to make youth soccer a rewarding experience for all involved.
District IV Adult Referee of the Year Award: We would like to congratulate our Steve Manos for winning the Adult Referee of the Year award in District IV. This is a well deserved award for someone who has given so much to youth soccer. He is an outstanding Referee and a great mentor for our newer cadre of referees. Congratulations Steve.
District IV Youth Referee of the Year Award: Congratulations are also in order to Conrad "CJ" Garcia for receiving the Youth Referee award. CJ has been a player in the Castro Valley Soccer Club for many years as well as one of its star Referees. He can be seen almost every possible weekend in the center of the pitch. The dedication and hard work has paid off. Well done CJ!
District IV Volunteer of the Year Award: Neil Donat was awarded the District IV Volunteer of the Year award this weekend at a Hall of Fame Dinner held as part of the CYSA Expo in Oakland. Neil has been part of the youth soccer for over 13 years and has been and continues to be instrumental in helping move youth soccer forward. He is one of the most hard working and dedicated volunteers. He is truly indispensable. Thank you Neil and congratulations!
CYSA State Girls' Coach of the Year
CVSC would also like to congratulate our Joe Santos for not only winning the District IV Girls' Coach of the Year but for also being voted the CYSA State Girls' Coach of the Year. Joe Santos’ U15 girls went undefeated this year in GSSL. A well deserved double honor. Joe Santos also coaches a U14 D3 boys team, served as a Board Member for the past eight years and has been coaching youth soccer for the past 10 years. |
